Where Ideas Shape Impact: Join the Grand Finale on Digital Democracy

On 4 December 2025 in Brussels, the KT4D Final Event brings together four Horizon Europe projects — AI4GOV, KT4D, ITHACA, and ORBIS — for one powerful closing act. This grand finale celebrates years of collaboration exploring how Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Big Data can make democracy stronger, more transparent, and more inclusive. Be there with us!

The joint conference will offer valuable insights into the role of AI and Big Data in strengthening democratic processes and fostering transparency. With expert-led presentations and panel discussions, it will provide policy recommendations and tools for citizen engagement, demonstrating how collaborative research can turn theory into practice for inclusive decision-making.

Discussions will focus on topics such as trust, literacy, and democracy-centred technologies. Attendees will be provided with a comprehensive understanding of the challenges and opportunities in digital governance. The event will also include demonstrations of the innovative tools developed under the Task Force, offering a firsthand look at how these solutions are shaping digital democracy across Europe.

Provisional Agenda

The day will begin with a welcome and introduction to the cluster of projects, followed by three thematic panels.

  • Panel 1: Trust
    Insights from AI4GOV and ITHACA, alongside external policy contributions.
  • Panel 2: Literacies
    Contributions from ORBIS and KT4D, combined with perspectives from European Commission representatives.
  • Panel 3: Democracy-Centred Technology
    Findings from KT4D and ORBIS, engaging with policymakers and experts.

In the afternoon, a keynote panel will set the stage for reflection and debate. The event will close with remarks and a brokerage session, showcasing tools and methodologies developed by the Task Force.
